Janice Garrett Summer Workshop
A Dynamic Immersion in Technique and Repertory

This intensive workshop is for intermediate and advanced dancers who want to enhance their performance skills through a dynamic and deeply physical immersion in technique and repertory. Join choreographer Janice Garrett and members of her company for a week of exuberant, high-octane dancing. Each day will consist of a 2-hour modern technique class followed by a 3-hour repertory session designed to enhance performance skills and encourage participants to reach their highest potential. The workshop will culminate in an informal studio showing on Friday, June 28th.
Workshop enrollment is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Intermediate/Advanced Modern Technique
Tuesdays and Thursday 10-11:30 am
Janice Garrett teaches weekly intermediate/advanced technique classes which highlight speed, unexpected directional change, and a strong sense of weight. Each class is designed to develop a well-rounded palate of technical skills and encourage individual artistic expression. Special attention is given to sound principles of alignment, facilitating technical versatility, strength and virtuosity.
